$50.00

Founded in 1933, Esquire Magazine quickly became one of the most popular men’s magazines of the century. Over the decades, it published some of the best American literature, with contributions from the likes of Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Tom Wolfe, Truman Capote, and Raymond Carver. It also regularly published men’s fashion photography and articles, cultivating a style emblematic of Esquire. In this volume, Esquire Good Grooming for Men, the magazine’s editors compile a full guide to men’s grooming and fashion. It has sections on haircuts, dieting, posture, the basic wardrobe, jewelry, and more. Paired with the text are pen and ink illustrations by Harlan Krakovitz. It is a remarkable volume showing the styles and proclivities of men’s hygiene and fashion from the late 1960s. A dedicated reader who followed Esquire’s protocol would certainly look sharp.

This first edition, first printing is in very good condition. In the original cloth, very good with soiling along edges and boards and minor bumping to corners. Text block fine. In the original dust jacket, very good with only minor rubbing, creases, and small closed tears to edges.

A scarce copy of Esquire’s Good Grooming for Men.
