In it, author Pamela Des Barres recounts her youth as a self-described groupie. She famously travelled with numerous major artists, including Frank Zappa, the Rolling Stones, and Led Zeppelin. She also enjoyed a series of romantic flings with band members and musicians. In this memoir, she is candid about these experiences, writing enthusiastically about her time as a prominent rock & roll groupie. It became a national bestseller in the late 1980s and is probably the most famous work on groupies from the twentieth century.
