William Russell Flint was a Scottish watercolor painter and printmaker. He led a successful career through commissions and book illustrations, most notably his Savoy Operas edition and Canterbury Tales edition. Yet his most acclaimed works are his nudes. He was a master of the female form in both etching and watercolor. In these examples, Flint’s etchings are reproduced for subscribers of the Modern Masters of Etching series. The series was published in the 1920s and 30s. Each plate is tipped onto its original page. They are sold here as individual prints ready to be displayed. The available prints are:
