It follows Lyra who comes under threat from the Magesterium, a theocratic power in Lyra’s world. With help from other characters and her daemon, Pan, Lyra navigates a treacherous series of events, traveling between dimensions to subvert power and escape danger. It remains a favorite among readers of the His Dark Materials series.
