C.R.W. Nevison was an English artist of major acclaim in the early twentieth century. His WWI art is particularly noteworthy for its lucid portrayals of trench warfare and industrial wartime scenes. His etchings were also celebrated. They often contain cityscapes, landscapes, and WWI infantry in action. In these examples, Nevison’s etchings are reproduced for subscribers of the Modern Masters of Etching series. The series was published in the 1920s and 30s.
