Elliot Page is a Canadian actor and filmmaker who has received numerous accolades and appeared in numerous films over the last several decades. In the 2000s and 2010s, he had several standout roles in films ranging from Inception to Juno to the X-Men franchise. Page is also an activist with a long history of speaking out for trans rights, womens’ rights, and animal rights. In 2020, Page took the courageous step of coming out as trans. He was incredibly candid about his transition and struggles with gender identity in the face of a hostile political and cultural landscape.
