Per Petterson is a Norwegian writer whose literary narratives showcase mastery of character and scene. He has won numerous awards, including the Nordic Council Literature Prize, the Brage Prize, among others. The 2005 translation of Petterson’s Out Stealing Horses garnered international acclaim and elevated Petterson in literary markets across the globe. Following that success, he published several other works, including I Curse the River of Time. It is a family narrative set in a Europe overcome by Communist rule. It was the work that won Petterson the Nordic Council Literature Prize.
