Clive Barker has made equal contributions to film, fiction, and the visual arts, but almost always in the horror genre. His screenplay and directing credits include Hellraiser and Candyman. His short stories and novels are many, but Imajica stands out for its fantasy, cosmology, and science fiction elements. Barker himself called it his most ambitious and favorite of his fiction. It describes a multidimensional battle where human characters and otherly beings transcend several dimensions in order to unify the universe. Massive in scope and mythological in nature, Imajica remains a cult favorite. For any Clive Barker collector, it is an essential volume.
