$20.00

Considered one of the greatest works of American literature, Beloved won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and was a finalist for the National Book Award in 1987. Morrison also went on to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1993. Her work is known for its sharp narration and points of view, and its employment of magical realism to shed light on the African American experience. Beloved in particular is considered one of the greatest novels about the post-slavery experience in America, telling the story of Sethe and her family, and the ghost of her daughter, named only Beloved. It is also widely regarded as Morrison’s best work and arguably the best novel of the past 50 years.
