$15.00

In his lifetime, Jack London was one of America’s most celebrated authors. He remains popular today for his many novels and short stories. He was a staunch advocate for workers’ rights and animal rights–qualities which appear in some of his most popular works, including The Iron Heel, The Call of the Wild, and White Fang. In this volume, London provides one of his most successful adventure novels. It is the story of Humphrey Van Weyden as he becomes hardened through voyages with the notorious sea-wolf, the captain Wolf Larsen. The work was a bestseller published at the height of London’s career. It remains one of his most widely read novels.

This collector’s edition is in very good condition. In the original red leather, elaborately gilt stamped, very good with only small closed tear to foot of spine. Raised bands. Gilt spine label. Text block very good. Gilt edges lightly rubbed. Silk moire endpapers and bookmark sewn in. Publisher’s bookplate blank and pasted to front pastedown.

A very good collector’s copy of The Sea-Wolf.
