$45.00
American author Sue Grafton produced one of the most popular detective series of all time with her Alphabet novels, featuring detective Kinsey Millhone. The novels are engaging, plot-driven, and suspenseful. They have maintained a dedicated readership over the decades, but it was a shaky start. The first novel, A Is for Alibi, met mixed reviews upon its publication in 1982. The first printings did not sell as well as expected. It was not until the second novel, B Is for Burglar in 1985, that the series took off. In J Is for Judgement, Millhone is hired to investigate the disappearance of a Ponzi scheme mastermind. In the process of the investigation, Millhone also makes discoveries about her own story, making this volume an important one for the entire series.
