The work was her only published novel until 2015 when Go Set A Watchman, an earlier version of the text, was published. It is a heartwarming story that weaves racial injustice, class disparities, gender inequality, and the loss of childhood innocence. It is a tender yet striking coming-of-age tale. To Kill a Mockingbird was the winner of the Pulitzer Prize. It was also adapted into a 1962 film of the same name starring Gregory Peck as the heroic Atticus Finch. First printings in the original first issue jacket are exceptionally scarce. Only 5,000 copies were printed, making it one of the most sought-after modern first editions among collectors today.

This first edition, first printing is in very good condition. In the original green cloth over brown boards, very good with only minor soiling and bumping to edges. Text block about-fine, only slightest lean. First edition stated with no other printings mentioned.
