Michael Lewis is an American journalist and author. He has published several book-length works that have been adapted to popular films, including Moneyball, The Big Short, and this volume: The Blind Side. It is a study on the evolution of modern football, noting how players like Lawrence Taylor forced offenses to change their strategies to protect the quarterback. Yet the work is also a character study on one player in particular: Michael Oher, an offensive lineman who is the prototypical response to modern pass rushers. Oher’s story is told as a narrative. It became the focal point of the film adaptation in 2009. The film was a major commercial success and met critical acclaim. It starred Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw, and Quinton Aaron.

This first edition, first printing is signed by Lewis on the title page. It is in fine condition. In the original quarter cloth, near-fine with only minor bumping to head of spine. Text block fine. In the original dust jacket, fine.

A fine signed first edition of The Blind Side.
