$300.00

Brett Weston was an American photographer who excelled in the twentieth century, becoming one of the most acclaimed photographers of his generation. He was the son of Edward Weston, the groundbreaking American photographer who mentored Brett for many decades. Eventually, however, the younger Weston established himself through an incredible eye for abstract expressionism–capturing not just objects in the abstract, but natural patterns, landscapes, nudes. In this volume, A Personal Selection, Brett Weston showcases this genius after several decades of acclaim. The photobook is framed around his personal tastes and includes all manner of subjects. Yet the collection is clearly unified in its aesthetic. It is one of his most celebrated works.

This first trade edition, first printing is signed by Weston on the half-title page. It is in very good condition. In the original cloth, very good with only rubbing to edges and dampstaining to bottom of spine. Text block fine. In the original dust jacket, very good with only minor rubbing, creases, and dampstaining. Large folio.

A very good signed first edition of A Personal Selection.
