Michael Shawn Crahan, better known by his stage name Clown, is an original member of Slipknot, the heavy metal band that rose the charts in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Their masked performances and mosh pit energy garnered a cult following, but they were also able to reach mainstream audiences with songs like “Duality” and “Wait and Bleed.” The result was several platinum albums, movie appearances, and more. In The Apocalyptic Nightmare Journey, Clown, a vital member of the group, presents his original photography. It is in line with the dark artistry of Slipknot and the genre-melding of their music. Much of his photography captures the aesthetics of the period, too, with urban settings, manipulations of color, and intentional blur. For any fan of Slipknot or Clown, it is a spectacular volume.

This first edition, first printing is signed by Clown on the front pastedown. It is in fine condition. In the original illustrated casing, fine. Text block fine. No dust jacket, as issued. Laid in is a non-profit card from anti-bullying group I Stand for the Silent, which Clown advocated for in the 2010s.
