Chaz Bono was destined for celebrity as the son of pop stars Sonny Bono and Cher. He made many appearances on their television series and other shows. As an adult, he became a pioneering advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. In the late 2000s, he began to publicly transition and came out as a trans man. He documented the experience as a way to destigmatize trans identities and to advocate for trans communities. In this volume, Transition, Bono recounts his experiences of self-acceptance, medical procedures, and the decision to make his transition highly public.
