Stanley Plumly was a celebrated American poet whose work appeared in numerous journals, collections, and individual volumes. For many years, he taught creative writing at the University of Maryland, College Park. He won numerous awards–several Pushcart Prizes, a Truman Capote Award, and an LA Times Book Prize. He also served as the Poet Laureate of Maryland. Nostalgia contains poems revised from various individual publications. Alongside the text are original drawings by Gary Young, fellow poet and notable printmaker whose designs are superb. This volume is also noteworthy for its fine craftsmanship. Published by the Zumbro River Press, an exceptional private press operating in rural Minnesota, this volume represents the necessary skill and artistry of the centuries’ old craft of bookmaking, brought into the twenty-first century.

This signed limited first edition is in fine condition. It is one of only 136 copies printed on dampened Frankfurt paper. It is bound in full cloth with paper spine label. All fine. Plumly and Young signatures appear on the colophon.
