Sebastian Junger is a journalist and author primarily known for his work on dangerous occupations and military combat. He is also a filmmaker, producing documentaries and film adaptations of his book-length works. He has been involved in countless projects, but none is more famous than The Perfect Storm, a creative non-fiction account of the crew of the Andrea Gail, a sword-fishing ship operating off the Atlantic Coast. The ship went missing during the 1991 “Perfect Storm,” an infamously powerful Nor’easter that caused major damage. Through researched descriptions with fidelity to the lives of the fishermen, Junger produces a harrowing and heartfelt narrative that made the work a bestseller. It was also adapted to film in 2000, starring George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, and Diane Lane. The film was a major box office success.

This first edition, first printing is signed by Sebastian Junger on the half-title page. It is in fine condition. In the original quarter cloth, near-fine with only bumping to spine ends. Text block fine. Former owner’s signature to front endpaper. In the original dust jacket, fine.

A fine signed first edition of The Perfect Storm.
