The Senator Next Door. Signed by Amy Klobuchar. First Edition, First Printing. Holt & Co. New York, 2015.

$50.00

Amy Klobuchar has served as a U.S. senator since 2007. She is one of the most recognizable senators in the democratic party. Over the course of her tenure in the senate, she has proven a strong capacity to work on bipartisan legislation, consistently passing bills to a greater degree than the majority of her counterparts. In 2020, she also ran for president on the democratic ticket, but ultimately suspended her campaign, choosing instead to endorse Joe Biden. While right-wing pundits criticize her political affiliations, there is no doubt that Senator Klobuchar has proven them wrong in her ability to compromise for the sake of the country. In her first autobiography, The Senator Next Door, Klobuchar describes her entire life leading up to her career in politics. A Minnesota native, she begins with her childhood in the Minneapolis suburbs. She also describes her time as a county attorney, and concludes with her first years in the senate. Her career has continued since this publication, but it remains a revealing portrait of a longtime political figure.

This first edition, first printing is signed by Senator Klobuchar on the title page. It is in fine condition. In the original casing, fine. Text block fine. In the original dust jacket, fine.
