Frank Lloyd Wright is the most celebrated architect of the last two hundred years. His Prairie School movement and organic architecture largely defined architectural design in the twentieth century. Many of his homes and buildings have become UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Fallingwater, the Guggenheim Museum, and the Robie House. In A Testament, FLW provides an intimate written and visual portrayal of his artistic philosophy and career. The text loosely follows a chronological retelling of his life, but is fragmented by sections that encompass particular ideals and approaches that are the hallmarks of his work. Alongside his prose are photographs, drawings, and blueprints depicting his structures. Bound in a folio, these images are meant to be pored over, studied, and admired. It was the last book he ever published, and subsequently, the most complete recounting of his career that he ever provided.

This first edition, first printing is in very good condition. In the original creme cloth boards, near fine with only very minor bumping to corners. Front board stamped with red square. Spine label in red and black. Text block fine. In the original dust jacket, very good with only minor creases, chipping, and rubbing to edges.

A very good first edition of Frank Lloyd Wright’s last book.
