Scott Kelly is one of the most recognizable astronauts of the post-Apollo era. He commanded the International Space Station during three separate missions. He worked on the Hubble Space Telescope and famously took part in the ISS year-long mission to study the prolonged effects of space on the human body. Scott Kelly was an ideal candidate for this mission because he has an identical twin, Mark Kelly, fellow astronaut who has gone on to become an Arizona state senator. Both Kelly twins have made important contributions to science and exploration, making this volume, Endurance: A Year in Space, a Life of Discovery, a valuable text among twenty-first century science and exploration memoirs. In it, Kelly provides an account of the ISS mission as well as his ascendance through NASA’s space programs with his twin brother. It is noted for its honest details and clear descriptions of the technical aspects behind Kelly’s missions.

This first edition, first printing is signed by Scott Kelly on the title page. It is in very good condition. In the original full cloth boards, about-fine with only minor rubbing to edges and bumping to spine ends. Text block fine. In the original dust jacket, very good with only minor bumping and rubbing to edges.

A very good signed first edition by astronaut Scott Kelly.
