William Makepeace Thackeray is a masterful satirist, novelist, and illustrator. Vanity Fair is easily his greatest work. A sprawling critique of English society in the 1800s, the novel inspired several generations of English authors. It is also the inspiration for the magazine of the same title. This Collector’s Edition contains Thackeray’s original pencil illustrations, over 200 in total. It is a truly great representation of the text as it was read in the first edition.

This Easton Press Collector’s Edition is in fine condition. Bound in full navy leather with ornate 22k gilt stamping. Raised bands. Orange silk endpapers and bookmark ribbon sewn in. All edges gilt.

A fine collector’s copy of Vanity Fair.
