Fox in Socks. By Dr. Seuss. First Edition, Later Printing. Beginner Books. New York, 1965.

$95.00

The fun of Fox in Socks is Fox’s talk of socks with Knox, his friend the dog. Subtitled “A Tongue Twister for Super Children”, Fox in Socks is Dr. Seuss’s challenge to them, asking them to “blab such blibber blabber” even if their tongues aren’t “made of rubber” (qtd. from page 45). It is one of Dr. Seuss’s most delightful works; although, it is often overlooked on lists of his best.

This first edition, later printing is in very good condition. In the later issue dust jacket with advertisements naming titles published in 1966. Dust jacket very good with only minor chips and closed tears. In the original boards, very good with only minor rubbing to edges. Text block fine.

A very good early copy of Dr. Seuss’s Fox in Socks.
