$32.00

Fathers and Sons is one of the most acclaimed Russian novels of the 19th century. It is a character study across generations whose members hold opposing nihilistic and traditionalist worldviews. For Fathers and Sons, Ivan Turgenev is often credited with establishing Russian realism alongside Nicolai Gogol, Fyodor Dostoevsky, and Leo Tolstoy. This Illustrated Edition by the Heritage Press includes full-page wood engravings by Fritz Eichenberg, a 20th century illustrator of high regard.

This Illustrated Edition by the Heritage Press is in very good condition. In the original red cloth boards, very good with gilt stamping bright. Spine lightly faded with only minor soiling and rubbing. Text block fine, wood-cut illustrations wonderful throughout. In the original slipcase, very good with only minor rubbing and closed tear sympathetically taped.

A very good classic of Russian Literature, wonderfully illustrated by the Heritage Press.
